PLAYER ORIENTATION

REQUIRED FOR ALL ATHLETES JOINING A TEAM (NEW AND RETURNING)

Wake FC Player Orientation should be completed within 3-days of accepting a roster spot on a team.  Completion of Player Orientation impacts the athlete's participation in games and tournaments.

UPLOAD ATHLETE'S PHOTO

Every athlete participating with a WFC team must upload their photo to PlayMetrics.

Photo should be from the shoulders up, with the athlete looking directly at the camera.

Photo must be in color. Black & white photographs will not be accepted.

Face should be fully visible; athlete may not wear sunglasses, mask or hat in photo.

Examples of UNACCEPTABLE photos are:

  • Athlete is wearing a hat.
  • Action shot of athlete from the side or behind.
  • Athlete is not looking directly at the camera.
  • Photo is in black & white.

Upload ATHLETE'S Proof of Birth

Every athlete participating with a WFC team must upload their proof of birth to PlayMetrics.

Proof of birth is either a BIRTH CERTIFICATE or a PASSPORT.

Please note: Athlete’s born outside of the USA must complete the International Clearance Process, as determined by FIFA, if they have not previously obtained International Clearance to participate in youth soccer. The International Clearance Process pertains to US Citizens Born Abroad as well as Foreign Born Athletes. The WFC Registrar will contact any athletes who need to complete the International Clearance Process for participation in games & tournaments.

Submit ATHLETE'S Jersey Number Preferences

When accepting a roster spot in PlayMetrics, the athlete has an opportunity to indicate their jersey number preferences. Athletes are not guaranteed a particular jersey number, however, it is a goal of WFC to allow returning athletes to retain a jersey number worn the previous year, whenever possible. Jersey number retention is not always possible as athletes change teams or competitive levels from year to year. Uniform ordering information is emailed to the family via soccer.com at a later date, after WFC sets jersey numbers for the team/athlete. Additional information is found in PlayMetrics at Club Resources > Uniform Format.

MEDICAL WAIVERS (NCYSA & US CLUB)

Families will be prompted to complete the NCYSA MEDICAL WAIVER and the US CLUB SOCCER MEDICAL WAIVER via PlayMetrics, prior to the beginning of their season. After WFC has generated the waivers for the athlete in PlayMetrics, the family will access and complete these waivers in PlayMetrics at Forms > Task List > To-Do.
